I’m Linden Thorp, creator but above all human being living fully on the magnificent Planet Earth. You may remember me as Nirvana Linden—the old name of this site when it first started in 2015—but, as is natural, I’ve moved on since those days. This new-look will show you just how, but you can still go back and look at the reams of articles I have written on all things spiritual and Buddhist in the archives which I’m still restoring.

My pathway
I believe everyone has a pathway in life. Some travellers follow the guide posts and some don’t. I always listened to them because I knew I was listening to my heart. That’s how I got where I am now. I always knew that I must flow with the river of life with all its obstacles and eddies, strong currents and white water, stagnant pools and lagoons.
I have toyed with the invisible world for most of my long life, but now I know for sure that human beings and this glorious Earth are the only reality and I desperately want to be here-and-now.
Writing Extract
We stood ‘at arm’s length’ as we were being taught to, giving our directions to make a non-doing contact. We lengthened from the base of the spine up to the very top of the head—the crown. We widened across the tops of the arms and shoulders and breathed so that the rib cage expanded outwards to the side.
“—Allow the soles of your feet to spread across the surface of the Earth, wide and long, and make sure of your balance in the centre of the gravitational field, your body weight equally distributed between the heels and the balls of your feet, widening from the outer edge—the little toe side—to the inner edge—the big toe side—”
The words trailed off, and I froze. The longing and universal love in your eyes, brimming with such bright talent which I longed to hear, paralysed me. My boldness, challenging to believe today, without a single hesitation, I said intimately and urgently,
“—Will you promise never to stop singing to me, no matter what happens?”

In your novel ‘Easy-Happy-Sexy,’ your use of language and detail are wonderful, whimsical or fantastical in moments – “A pink taffeta dress…colour-washed orange by the desert dust”…and surreal, abstract in others–“She makes her palms flat to match white-fella’s ‘flat’ and ‘straight,’” etc. The diction mirrors a kind of flight felt in the time and attention devoted in the narrative to the interior landscapes of the characters: we are mostly inhabiting the thoughts of Ninija and her granddaughter, Gina.
